Loos & Co. got its start in 1958 in a three-car garage belonging to owner A.W. “Gus” Loos. They were humble beginnings as Loos started out as a manufacturer’s representative addressing hardware concerns while simultaneously importing rope and cable from Germany and Japan. Shortly thereafter, he began stocking cable, tools and fittings, in addition to re-reeling and packaging cable. At present day, the company is extremely multi-faceted and is capable of drawing wire and extruding plastics, among other things. Given the diversity of products manufactured at these facilities and the equipment available, the decision to start Loos Precision Products (LPP) was a natural progression for the company. A strong focus on innovation, and a robust investment in capabilities has truly set Loos Precision Products apart since the beginning.
Today, LPP is a fully operational precision machining company located in Naples, Florida. We offer a host of machining capabilities and turnkey services not found in your typical machine shop, such as high-capacity thread-rolling, presses from 15 to 500 tons, powder coating, in-house passivation, mechanical and cable assembly, heat-treating, and plating services. We are a cut above our competitors due to our highly-trained and experienced machining team who are capable of meeting and maintaining tolerances as small as .0001”. Our facility is certified to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015, and we are QPL/QPM listed for a number of Mil-Spec components. Loos’ quality control department rigorously inspects each lot that travels through our facility to guarantee precise and quality output.
Our Naples location was realized in 1979. We are the industry leader in the realm of Mil-Spec hardware and wire rope fittings, pioneering the industry more than 60 years ago. Channeling that same innovative spirit, Loos Precision Products was launched. Loos Precision Products has the capabilities necessary to produce built-to-print parts for mid-to high-volume production. Of primary concern is meeting and exceeding our customers’ production requirements in producing products that are not only high-quality, but competitively priced.
